Students attending McCarthy Catholic College will benefit from the newly completed $2,282,000 hospitality, food technology, science and general learning facilities.
“Along with the recently announced Trades Training Centre, these new facilities will allow students at McCarthy to begin their skills training,” said Federal Member for Lindsay, David Bradbury. “By the time these students have completed their studies, they will have built up a skills set that will allow them to reach their full potential and secure future employment.
The McCarthy Catholic College new facilities, which were recently officially opened by Federal Member for Lindsay, David Bradbury, were jointly funded by the Federal Government and the school community. The school community raised $1,627,487 and $654,513 has been provided by the Federal Government under the Capital Grants Program.
“I would like to congratulate former Principal Mr Kevin Holohan, Acting Principal Mr Tony Bracken and the school community in their efforts to raise more than $1.6 million to go towards this vital school infrastructure,” said Federal Member for Lindsay, David Bradbury. “This funding builds upon the $6.4 million worth of funds invested in McCarthy Catholic College, under the Rudd Governments Education Revolution, which includes:
· $6 million to build a state of the art Trades Training Centre;
· $200,000 to construct a Covered Outdoor Learning Area, refurbish classrooms, upgrade schools grounds; and
