Following his v
ery public trial for stealing from the government store, John Wilkins received 300 lashes and two year’s hard labour, from the NSW Corps of Marines during the re-enactment trial which was held during the recent Arms of Australia Inn Museum’s William Cox Festival and Open Day.
The day celebrates the start of Williams Cox’s journey across the Blue Mountains in 1814.
There was plenty of family fun as well with music, stalls, food, rides and games.
The Arms of Australia Inn Museum is open Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 2pm. Sunday 1pm to 5pm or by appointment.
