Children at Emu Heights Public School are putting the finishing touches to their latest achievement.
A challenge was put to the children early this year to complete the Premier’s Reading Challenge.
This challenge called on children to read a series of selected books and complete a log of their reading with the goal of 25 books for children in grades K-2 (assisted by their teachers and parents) and 30 books for children in years 3-6, by the end of August.
As at the end of June, 270 children had completed the challenge, a new record for the school.
The Premier’s Reading Challenge achievers took time out from their busy reading schedule to enjoy a special sausage sizzle to celebrate their reading success.
Congratulations on such a fantastic effort!
